OUR MODALITIES
-
gentle, non-invasive, holistic touch. we listen to the deep, subtle, fluid rhythms of your body and support homeostasis. especially good for nervous system regulation and trauma healing. done clothed on a table.
-
build mind-body connection and somatic awareness. learn to be more "in" your body through both directed movement and self-guided explorations.
-
drawing, poetry, creative writing, movement, dance, and ritual. we use the container of the arts to hold our internal experience externally, and reflect it back to us. with creative perspective, we can play with new possibilities, and learn to live life as a work of art.
-
mindfulness-based somatic psychotherapy. we slow down and notice our sensations, emotions, and thoughts in the here and now. by investigating the present moment through the body, we uncover unconscious beliefs, discover new options, and stabilize them to be integrated into daily life.
* These modalities and tools are available to us. Depending on your interests, requests, and what your system presents during a session, we may use several, or only one.
